Murrieta’s Well | Kimmi+David’s Livermore Wedding

Kimmi and David were married at one of our favorite venues, Murrieta’s Well. Why do we love this place? Well, for starters, it’s in Livermore–our hometown! And we love everything about our hometown. Second, it’s owned by Wente, Livermore’s oldest winery. There’s a reason these guys have been around forever: Wente does things right. Their restaurant serves incredible food. Their golf course is gorgeous. And their wine–well, that’s pretty darn fabulous too. But our favorite thing that Wente does (aside from the seasonal pork chop?): the CAKE!!! Oh my goodness, do they know how to do cake.Oh, and did we mention that this place is gorgeous?? That helps too. Couples are married in a warm, intimate space in front of the barn. Guests gather for cocktails in a sunlit space bordering the vineyards. Then everyone gathers for dinner and dancing in their intimate cellar space. So cool. And there’s something about Murrieta’s Well that encourages a killer party! Each wedding that we’ve shot here has been F-U-N! These are dance parties that never die. Probably has something to do with Brian from 21st Century Sounds–this guy knows how to keep a dance floor alive!

We were really looking forward to Kimmi and David’s wedding. We’d had a blast getting to know them at their engagement session in Half Moon Bay, and we knew we’d see plenty of familiar faces, since they’re good friends with Casey+Gilbert! Not surprisingly, their day did not disappoint. Kimmi wore a stunning Vera Wang gown that the both of us were plotting to swipe by the end of the night. It was totally possible, too, since she changed into an equally stunning Chinese sheath for the dance party! Meanwhile, David wore a giant grin all day long. This is a man who knows exactly how lucky he is, and soaked up every bit of this wonderful day. Highlights of the day were the Best Man speech (which included a powerpoint presentation!), Kimmi’s sentimental dances with her brothers, and a surprise toasting competition between tables, where little old ladies were literally standing on chairs to hoot and holler! Such a beautiful, memorable day. Thanks for allowing us to be part of it!
