Benny and Karla found us through Craigslist. Funny story–we got our start by posting on Craigslist, and our business likely wouldn’t exist today if not for the early interest drummed up there. It always makes us a little giddy when people continue to find us there! Benny and Karla have been together for over 10 years and are as sweet as can be. Their life is in the city, so that’s where we met. We started at the Ferry Building, then caught an Uber and headed up to Coit Tower. Shooting in San Francisco always creates a fun challenge of dodging tourists and giggling at our favorite photo bombers, and this day did not disappoint! Congratulations Benny + Karla! We can’t wait to celebrate with you at dogpatch WineWorks next summer!

Alaina is good friends with Bryn’s little sister, and the two have known each other for years! So you can imagine how excited we were to be asked to photograph the Seattle wedding for Alaina and her fiance Daniel! There’s nothing like summer in Seattle. Nothing. To kick things off, we had an engagement session at the Washington Park Arboretum. Can’t wait for June!

We adore Amanda+Miguel! We met Amanda’s parent’s at the Wente Wedding Soiree last fall and KNEW we wanted to shoot this wedding–from meeting parents!! I mean, if the parents are adorable enough for us to think they were the ones getting married, then surely the kids will be just as loveable?! Yep. They are. Ridiculously loveable.

Not even an overheated car that we needed to coast 5 miles back into Livermore (seriously!) could keep this from being a wonderful evening! They handled the breakdown like champs–and even hiked out to this overlook to capture this incredible sunset while we let the car cool down!

Can’t wait to celebrate with you two in October!

We were so excited to meet up with Nicole+Teigan for this shoot. When we met them at the Wente Wedding Soiree last fall, they tried to book us on site!! And the love was mutual–these two are adorable! When we heard that they wanted to do their engagement session at San Francisco’s Land’s End, where they were engaged, we were even more smitten! We’ve been dying to shoot this spot for ages, and nobody better to share it with than a couple who it means so much to!

Land’s End did not disappoint. Despite a foggy skyline, every little corner of this place is it’s own bit of epic. And when you’re shooting a couple as gorgeous and in love as these two–well, it sure makes our job fun!

We can’t wait to celebrate with you two! Just 1 month to go!

We had so much fun spending the morning with Stefanie and Andrew at Heritage Park! Stefanie has quickly become one of our biggest fans, referring us to all her friends, which we, of course, LOVE! Most of our business comes word of mouth, so it’s amazing when you all spread the word about us! And we really love working with people from the same group of friends. It’s so awesome to see familiar faces at weddings! (Then we don’t feel like we’re dancing alone all night, lol!!)

This was Stefanie and Andrew’s third time taking engagement photos. So, of course, they waffled on whether to bother with them at all. We’re so stoked they decided to! It’s so helpful for us to have this extra time with our couples–to see how they interact, hear about their likes and dislikes, and give them time to get comfortable with us. We want our couples to think of us as old friends by their wedding day. The more comfortable you are, the more amazing your photos will be!

This certainly won’t be a problem with these two. We have so much fun with them! We can’t wait to celebrate with you and all of your wonderful friends in the fall!

Pretty sure we’ve said this a thousand times before, but man we love working in our hometown! Livermore really is the best. Amazing venues, an awesome downtown, and the sweetest, down to earth people! We had a blast hitting a few of our favorite spots downtown with Robyn and Kevin (hello, Donut Wheel!!), but the best part of all was getting to shoot in a new spot.

Neither one of us had ever stepped foot into Fantasy Comics (which is slightly surprising considering the prominence of this cool shop!) But when we heard that Kevin’s reward for getting up so early to take engagement photos was to hit up his favorite haunt, we were determined to follow them! It was so fun to see the way Kevin lit up around his favorite books, and adorable to watch Robyn point out all his favorites.

Thanks for spending the morning with us, guys! We can’t wait to celebrate with you in November!

Emily and Tom. Oh my goodness, these two could not be any cuter! They arrived at our meeting spot about 2 minutes after we did and Emily immediately skipped up to us, gave us both warm hugs (this was our first time meeting), handed us a bag of freshly baked cookies, and apologized for showing up on “Tommy Time”! Uh…is this real life?! Can we be besties?!?!

Emily and Tom picked the spots (we love that!) We met up at Lover’s Lane because Emily hails from Humboldt county and wanted to be surrounded by trees, to remind her of home. Then we headed to China Beach, an amazing little gem, and one of Tom’s favorite surfing spots.

Emily didn’t stop smiling, giggling, and snuggling her beau the entire afternoon. The girl literally glows. And Tom stands strong, clearly enamored and grateful to have her by his side. Thanks for introducing us to these awesome spots in the city, you two! We’re going to have so much fun this summer!

Remember how we just told you about meeting Gina+CJ through Cortney+Nick? Well Tony is Nick’s brother! It’s so much fun getting to spend time with familiar faces. We remember chasing Tony and Stella all over the dance floor last year–and just barely keeping up! We’re going to get a workout in October!

We met up with these two near their home in San Francisco. First stop: cable cars! This was our first time hunting cable cars in the city. So fun! So crowded! Luckily we found one that was parked while waiting it’s turn to cue up, and lucked out with the cutest puppy photo bomber in the process.

Next stop: jumping around on the beach at Crissy Field! These two are so fun together–they really wanted to keep their photos as lighthearted and fun as possible. And we can’t resist a jumping photo, so that works for us!

Our last stop was the Lyon Street steps–a favorite spot in their neighborhood. What a wonderful place this is! Well, unless you’re running the steps like all the rest of the people out there. Then you might think of them as slightly less wonderful! But the view is gorgeous, and it borders a lovely little eucalyptus grove with a quiet walking path. Thanks for introducing us to this treasure, guys! We can’t wait for your big day!

We met up with Amy and Mark for their engagement session way back in November. Hard to believe it’s April and they’re kicking off our wedding season with their big day this weekend!! We CAN.NOT.WAIT! As nice as it is to have a bit of an off-season as wedding photographers, we’re definitely chomping at the bit, ready to get back at it by springtime!

We hit a few San Francisco favorites with these two lovebirds. Dodging nudists doing headstands (no joke) on Baker Beach. Enjoying gorgeous pink evening light bouncing off the Palace of Fine Arts. Then off for a few quick shots at Crissy Field to capture That SF Bridge looking mighty fine at sunset. Did we mention this was in November?? Man, we love California!
