Elizabeth Gamble Garden | Ben+David’s San Francisco Wedding

Ben and David were another awesome example of incredibly thoughtful, attentive hosts. They threw a beautiful, relaxed DIY gathering for their closest family and friends from across the globe. They began the day by hosting a delicious brunch in their home–they even served us and their wonderful videographers, Kindlewood Films, first! Ben could be found ironing guests jackets in the living room while family visited. Then we moved over to the gorgeous, intimate event space at Elizabeth Gamble Gardens in Palo Alto–what a gem! There the family could be found arranging furniture and hanging decor–even the couple’s treasured gardener came out to help hang lanterns from the highest branches.

Once all the guests arrived, the competition began! Yes. Competition. Ben and David had created a scavenger hunt of sorts–a series of super tough questions about themselves. Guest had to ask each other for help with some answers, and run all over the grounds for clues to others. This group was serious about winning–there was a Tiffany prize package on the line! After the game was over, the group gathered casually on the lawn to witness the exchange of vows. It was lovely, sweet ceremony that honored this wonderful couple who has been together for 24 years. Man, we love this job!

One of the highlights of the day–the food! What can we say…we love to eat! And these two are serious about delicious food. They hired Joshua Charles Catering and hand picked each dish. Amazing apps were prepared fresh in two tiny, approachable rooms and passed throughout the day. It seemed each new bite was more beautiful and delicious than the last.

We were so fortunate to be a part of this special day. Thanks for making us feel so welcome, and for feeding us amazing food every time we were together, guys!
