Alameda Naval Air Station Engagement
I first met Aubrey on Thanksgiving 2007. She had driven up from LA to spend Thanksgiving with her sister (one of my good friends) and a few complete strangers (my husband and I)! Over the next 7 years, a few more Thanksgiving dinners, and her sisters’ wedding, we became friends and I was so excited when she asked Brooke and I to shoot some engagement photos for her and Jonathan!
I had only met Jonathan a few times, when I randomly bumped into him and Aubrey at J Crew – in the dressing room. He came right up and gave me a big hug hello! I was sold – this guy was a keeper! But Aubrey already knew that 🙂
We met these two near the Alameda Naval Air Station on a Sunday afternoon. We spent the next hour or 2 driving around and jumping in and out of our car as we found spot after awesome spot! Abandoned buildings, chain link fences, and battleships! Did we mention the photo bomber? What more could you ask for? Oh yeah, an adorable couple. Seriously adorable.
Like most of our couples, they started off a little nervous (although you’d never know!) but they were pros by the time we were finished! This is one of the reasons why we find engagement sessions so important. You get rid of the nerves on a low stress day and you learn how good you look in pictures!
I love how these pics captured their personalities! Great photos ladies!!!
The one with the lady on the bike…AMAZING!
